A built residential complex representing a developed surface area of around 3,000 m², made up of 4 buildings (A, B, C, D), including the original château — which has undergone successive alterations — and the ancillary parts: the château's stables, the outbuildings, and the most recent building D, erected in the 1950s and used as classrooms and dormitories adjustable by a movable partition.

The château proper is built over vaulted cellars, with 4 towers — 2 on the façade at each corner, the other two in front on the same alignment, forming 2 rectangular gloriettes.

A treatment plant for 120 to 150 children was built to recent standards and has been very little used; in the event of new construction, it is no doubt possible to consider a connection to the public sewage network that runs nearby along the road, or simply to install a mini treatment plant, as is currently the practice, according to the scale of the needs.

In terms of construction, the municipality is governed by the national planning plan; there is no floor-area ratio (COS) or local land-use plan (POS), which allows the greatest possibilities for building individual houses, bungalows or wooden chalets — it being understood that all transformations of existing buildings are permitted for residential housing, retirement, green tourism, fitness, and the most varied artistic and leisure activities.

We take the liberty of drawing your attention to the fact that this is a wonderful site, at an altitude of 800 meters with a climate comparable to that of La Bourboule and Le Mont-Dore, very beneficial for emphysema and the respiratory tract; this is deep France, where in the morning you can see hares hopping and playing together, cows and oxen grazing, and glimpse roe deer or wild boar. The site is majestic, with beautiful walks amid the forest and centuries-old trees, among which you may chance upon superb natural lakes or freshwater bodies.

The roads are fine; you are about twenty minutes from the town of Issoire and less than an hour from Clermont-Ferrand, the capital of the Auvergne, whose economy is very dynamic in agri-food, laboratories, pharmaceutical firms and even the film industry for short films.

The new motorway that will link Spain thus gives a future perspective to this region, which lies at the center of Northern Europe (Belgium, Holland, Norway, etc.) and Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy) and is not very far from Switzerland, Geneva and Germany.
